THE POWER OF AN ANTI-PIRACY PARTNER
October 5, 2024Positive reviews usually work as fuel for brands, as seeing their hard work being appreciated is a driving force to keep working and doing better, and negative comments are always a bummer. Well, maybe not always; not for us anyway…
To elaborate, here are some of our favorite reviews for DigiGuardians:
“Placing copyright on a movie released years ago! Well done, you’re brilliant!!!”
“Shame on you, jerks!”
“You’re truly sons of b****s!”
“If you claim credit for a movie like Harry Potter, that's your rudeness.”
They actually get better and better, but you get the idea… The thing is, our success is measured not only by our customers’ satisfaction, but by their adversaries’ dissatisfaction, and dissatisfied they certainly are, to say the least. As we successfully protect your original content from those wishing to make illegal profit off of it, our reputation in the world of piracy suffers more and more.
But to be honest, this is the kind of hate we love. Let us explain further…
What We Did to Deserve This Honor?
Yes, we said honor. Because insults and other hateful comments always fuel our hard work, and we do wear our only star at Google Reviews as a badge of honor:
And speaking of hard work and honor, here is what we did:
In our more than 10 years in this industry, we have successfully protected the creative work, online reputation, and hard-earned profits of some of the most prominent film studios, streaming platforms, TV channels and personal creators, slowly but surely becoming a feared name among digital pirates.
While utilizing innovative, AI-powered technologies that help identify, locate, and remove pirated content, we also benefit from our human talent and experience, to think like how pirates would think and act like how they would act online, to get the best results possible.
Streaming sites, social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook; torrents, cyberlockers, search engines, instant messaging apps like Telegram, and more… We regularly monitor every platform where your original content might be shared illegally, and take instant action when we come across any trace of piracy, to keep you safe.
So naturally, the users of pirated content have all the reason to hate us, as we are the ones who make it impossible for them to reach their favorite movies, TV shows, and live events on pirate platforms. And we have numbers to prove it. Here are some examples:
Protecting the Magic: Keeping Harry Potter Safe From the Pirates
Harry Potter is one of the all time favorites of consumers of pirated content, as most of our negative reviews are related to this series. Pirates love it, but we love it more. Thanks to the efforts of our expert team and the help of our cutting-edge AI technology, we have detected and removed 94.3% of pirated links for three Harry Potter films: Goblet of Fire, Deathly Hallows Part 1, and Deathly Hallows Part 2. We have successfully –and swiftly– removed dozens and dozens of illegal copies of these films from various digital platforms in Turkey, ensuring that viewers have easy access to high-quality, legal versions.

Helping Sound of Freedom Rock the Charts Globally
Despite its modest budget, Sound of Freedom easily became a hit, loved by audiences around the globe. And we are proud to have played a role in its success in digital platforms, with our anti-piracy services provided across the USA, LATAM, and various parts of Europe.
As a result of our operations that encompassed all the platforms across the digital world including search engines, torrent sites, social media platforms and others, we have located and removed more than 13.077 pirated copies of this beautiful movie, resulting in a compliance rate of 99,28%.
The film was ranked top 10 for 15 days on iTunes, 29 days on Google Play Movies, and 9 days on Vudu.

Helping “Dayı” Reach the Top in Turkey
Released on December 10, 2021, “Dayı” was a huge hit not only in theaters –the film sold 476,644 tickets in its 19 weeks-long run– but also a local bestseller in VOD platforms, topping both the Google Play Movies Best Sellers and the iTunes All-Time Best Selling Movies lists.
And what did we do to help this successful film reach its maximum potential on digital platforms? From 2021 to 2023, DigiGuardians has detected 2385 pirated copies, found 956 links, and removed 2379 pirated copies in its local protection efforts, resulting in an awe-inspiring success rate of 99,75%.

These are just some of our victories against pirates, but you get our point. Today, we boast a staggering 99.9% identification rate as well as a 96.3% removal rate, with some of the most successful productions around the globe still under our shield, away from the malicious hands of online pirates.
So, our reviewers may continue their search in alternative search engines, “secret” websites, private social media communities, shady forums, and so on, and all they are going to find will be our logo with “This content was removed by DigiGuardians” message. Because we will just continue to work hard and improve, reaching even darker depths in the digital sea to keep your originals as safe as possible– because it is simply not an easy job to be the most hated brand in the world.
Join Us & Share the Hate!
All things said, digital piracy remains a significant issue affecting the media and entertainment industries worldwide; causing financial losses, negatively impacting employment, consumer safety, and cultural diversity. Today, video piracy causes a loss of $75 billion in annual revenue globally, a figure projected to reach $125 billion by 2028. In addition, box office revenues are facing an estimated 19% decline due to piracy.
In other words, as successful as we are, our job is far from done as there is still a lot to do. And this is the part where you can step in. Partner with us, let us protect your content and reputation in the digital world, and let’s enjoy the hate together!
As we always say, when the pirates hate us, we know you’re winning. So, if you don’t like pirates either, remember that we are just a click away.
