FAQ
Questions, answered.
How DigiGuardians finds, removes and keeps removing piracy — what starts on day one, what we need from you, and what you get back.

Getting started
What the first conversation looks like, and what it costs.
Tell us what you protect. For a single film an IMDb link and a business email are enough to begin; for a catalogue we take the title list. We come back with a first look at where your titles are leaking and what we would remove first.
It is your own piracy picture: where copies of your titles are surfacing, on which surfaces, and what enforcement would target first. First report free, 14-day trial, no obligation — none of it commits you to an engagement.
Three things: the titles you want covered, your official channels and marketing assets so they can go on the whitelist, and written authorisation to act on your behalf. We set the whitelist with you before any notice is filed.
No. You do not upload your material to us, and nothing is copied or stored on our side, so protecting a title never creates one more transmission to worry about.
Engagements are scoped to your catalogue and to the surfaces you need covered, so there is no single list price. The first report and the 14-day trial come before any of that, and they cost nothing.
What we protect
The content, the catalogues and the names we are asked to cover.
Films, series and premium media are the core: theatrical and streaming releases, distribution catalogues, and the long tail after release. The same work covers TV and OTT platforms, music, gaming and publishing.
Yes. Live events are monitored in real time during the broadcast, so infringing streams are found and removed while the event is still on — when both the audience and the loss are at their greatest.
Yes. A release window is when piracy peaks and every leaked copy costs the most, so monitoring is heightened around it. It does not stop there: re-uploads and mirror domains are still being removed months later.
Anti-piracy is the flagship service, not the whole company. We stand beside rights owners and brands as their enforcement arm wherever piracy, infringement or impersonation surfaces.
Yes. Counterfeit listings, fake sellers, cloned sites and lookalike domains, rogue ads, fake apps and impersonating social accounts all trade on your name — and each one comes down through a different route.
Where a claim is defamatory, baseless or legally actionable, we assess it and set out what can be done, through which route and in what order. We act on content that is misleading, defamatory or intentionally harmful, not on legitimate public feedback.
How enforcement works
Detection, verification, takedown, and the pressure that keeps it down.
Search results, streaming and download sites, file hosting and cyberlockers, social platforms and messaging channels including Telegram — in every language and territory your title reaches. Wherever your audience goes looking, we are already there.
Both, in that order. Our in-house AI, Sherlock, scans continuously by imitating how a real end user searches, varying by region, language and search habits. Every detection is then verified by our analysts before anything moves.
No. Your own marketing sits on a whitelist from day one, and we set that list with you before enforcement begins, so trailers, clips and promotional uploads are never touched. False positives are filtered out.
Takedown notices, delistings and platform escalation, carried through until it is gone. We act on the source as well as the link, so the copy is removed at its origin rather than only delisted from view.
It is expected. Once a copy is removed it reappears under a new domain within days, sometimes within hours. Re-uploads and mirror domains are tracked, and each new copy is handled as it appears, for as long as your content is under protection.
Enforcement begins once your titles are onboarded and the whitelist is agreed; monitoring is continuous from that point, not a scheduled sweep. Removal speed itself depends on the route — a marketplace listing, a registrar and a social account are three different procedures — so we report the actual timings on your own cases instead of quoting a single figure.
They are tracked across accounts, storefronts and domains rather than handled one link at a time. Constant pressure is what makes enforcement hold: repeat infringers learn that every route back costs them more than it returns.

Reporting, contacts, coverage, and how long protection runs.
Full transparency, every action and every result, through a live dashboard and periodic reports your team can act on. You see what was found, where it was found, and what happened to it.
A customer success team stays reachable throughout the engagement, so there is always someone to ask. Our teams sit in Los Angeles and Istanbul.
Coverage follows your title, not our map: every language and territory your content reaches. Our clients run from North America to LATAM, Europe to MENA and Africa.
Ongoing. A single sweep looks effective for about a week, because removed copies come back. Protection runs continuously for as long as a title is under it — which is why the list of titles we hold keeps growing rather than closing.
About DigiGuardians
Who you would be working with.
DigiGuardians was founded in 2013, out of MUViZi, and has stood beside rights owners as their enforcement arm ever since. Those years on the platforms are what makes us an established reporting partner rather than another sender of notices.
A tool flags; we execute. Detection is only where we start — notices, escalation, confirmed removal, and then the pressure that keeps it down. Our software also searches the way an end user does rather than the way a rights owner does, which is how it reaches copies a keyword sweep never sees.
Rights owners, studios, distributors and sales agents, TV and OTT platforms, and brands that need the same enforcement applied to impersonation. A selection of the titles we hold under protection is public.
